Shamanic Instruments

At WILDE FLUTE MAKER we are dedicated to ceremonial and meditative music for the purposes of sound healing and shamanic ceremony in particular

Since ceremony can last anything from 4 to 24 hours or more, numerous instruments are often required to fill the space with sound for the duration of the meditation. These are a few tools that are useful for the purpose.

Storm Sticks (Rain Sticks)

Storm Sticks are WILDE FLUTE MAKER’s version of the rain-stick, with improved design to imitate different rain sounds and to enhance the sound and duration of a one-way pour.

These instruments have a pouring time (held vertically for quickest pour) of about 30 – 40 seconds and can rain for 10 minutes or more at a drizzle. Which is why these instruments are intended as meditation hourglasses.

Having been inspired by the rain stick, playing a Storm Stick is always a prayer for much needed rain, all around the world.

Shamanic Rattle

There is an abundance of different rattles that are available for a coin in tourist markets all around the world. Some people, however, prefer to know who made their rattle, and that it was made prayerfully, with it’s owner in mind and with all natural and blessed material.

Though we don’t make many rattles, we would be happy to help in such cases, subject to material availability which changes seasonally.

The picture to the left is of only one instrument. Our rattles are made, however, to be one of a kind. So the sound sample and picture serve only the purpose of demonstration.
